Frequently Asked Questions
About the Jewelry
-
Yes, genuinely. I make everything myself, one piece at a time, so once something sells, it's gone for good. I don't work off patterns I repeat exactly, which means if a piece catches your eye, you're likely looking at the only one that will ever exist.
-
Mostly natural gemstones, seed beads, and copper and brass wire that I wrap and hammer by hand. I love pairing stones that took millions of years to form and selecting different tiny, colorful seed beads — it's a combination that never stops feeling fun to me.
-
I work primarily with copper and jeweler’s brass, which some people find irritating if they have sensitive skin or metal allergies. I can apply a protective clear coat to create layer between the bare metal and your skin. This layer can wear off overtime and wear. If that's you, reach out before ordering and I'm happy to talk through options.
-
I use bare copper wire and have worn many of my own pieces. I haven’t personally had any issues with the bare copper wire turning my skin green. However, some people may have a different reaction. This happens when the copper reacts with sweat, natural skin acids, and oxygen, creating harmless green copper salts that transfer onto your skin. I can apply a clear coat to the metal to protect your skin but it can wear off over time and wear.
-
Store pieces somewhere dry, away from direct sunlight, and try to put them on after lotion or perfume rather than before. Copper and brass will naturally develop a patina over time; some people love that look, but if you want to keep the shine, a quick polish with a soft cloth does the trick. You can also quickly remove copper and brass tarnish by dropping your pieces into a small bowl of white vinegar for about 30 seconds, then rinsing well with water.
-
I work with a mix of natural stones and treated stones, and I'll always let you know in the listing if a stone has been treated or enhanced in any way. My my stones, treated means dyed or color enhancement. For example, Tiger’s Eye comes in its natural brown state but is also avaialble in pink, turqouise, purple etc. through a dying process.
Sizing & Fit
-
I gravitate toward statement pieces — the kind you notice — but I design them to be lightweight and comfortable, even the big, dangly ones. Each listing includes measurements so you know exactly what you're getting.
-
Often, yes. Since everything's handmade, I have some flexibility. Just message me before or during checkout and I'll let you know what's possible.
Ordering & Customization
-
I'd love that. Tell me what you're picturing — colors, stones, vibe — and I'll work with you to bring it to life.
-
Not exactly the same, since every piece is handmade and unique, but I can absolutely make something similar using similar stones or colors.
-
Typically 1–2 weeks, depending on the piece and what materials I need to source. I'll always give you a timeframe upfront.
Shipping & Returns
-
Austin, Texas — right where every piece is made.
-
At this time I ship only to the United States.
-
Because each piece is one-of-a-kind, all sales are final. If something arrives damaged, though, reach out right away — I'll always make it right.
A Little More
-
Every single piece, by hand, right here in Austin. No mass production, no factories — just me, my tools, and a lot of beads.
-
If it's listed on the site, it's available. Once it sells, it comes down, since there won't be another one.
-
I'd love to hear from you — reach out anytime and I'll get back to you personally.
